About CRPF
The Central Reserve Police Force was created as the Crown Representative's Police on 27th July 1939. The name was changed to the Central Reserve Police Force on the promulgation of the CRPF Act on 28th December 1949. It has completed 82 years of wonderful time. It has grown to become a huge force. Force has grown into an enormous organization, with the number of 246 Bns, (including 203 executive Bns and five VIP Security Bns 6 Mahila Bns 15, 15 RAF Bns 10, 10 CoBRA Bns and 05 Signal Bns Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Bns Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Group Special Duty Group, 01 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centres 22 Training Institutions 03 CWS. 07 AWS 03 MWS/SWS Hospitals with 100 beds. 18 Composite Hospitals of 50 beds, and the 06 field hospital.

The primary function of Central Reserve Police Force Central Reserve Police Force is to assist the government in ensuring Rule of Law, Public Order and Internal Security efficiently and effectively. They also protect the integrity of the nation as well as promote Social Harmony and Development by respecting the supremacy of the Constitution.

The Central Reserve Police Force began its existence in the form of Crown Representative's Police on 27th July 1939. It was renamed the Central Reserve Police Force on the passage of the CRPF Act on 28th December 1949. It's been operating for 82 years of glorious time. The Force has grown into a massive organization that includes 2646 Bns (including Executive Bn with 208, 6 Mahila Bns, 15 RAF Bns, 10 CoBRA Bns, as well five Signal Bns as well Special Duty Group, 1 Parliament Duty Group). Special Duty Group, 1 Parliament Duty Group), 43 Group Centres 20 Training Institutions 3 CWS 7 AWS, 2 SWS,1 MWS, four composite hospitals that have 100 beds and 17 composite hospitals of 50 beds.

Organizational Set-up of the Force
The Headquarters of the Force Hqrs of Central Reserve Police Force is located at Block No. 1, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The Director is the head for this CGO Complex. General assists three Addl. Directors General , 9 Inspectors General of Police, a Financial Adviser and Director (Medical). The structure of the company is as follows:

Administration
Administration Directorate Administration Directorate is functioning under the supervision under the supervision by lG (Adm). The director is assisted by assistance from DIG (Adm) and DIG (Welfare).
Personnel
The Personnel Directorate is functioning under the direction of lG (Pers). The department is supported by DIG (Pers), DIG (CR and Vig), DIG (Org), DIG (Estt) and Comdt(Estt).
Training
The Training Directorate operates under the direction by IG(Training). He is assisted with the assistance with the help of DIG (Training-l), DIG (Training-ll) and DIG(Sports).
Operations
Its Operations Directorate is functioning under the direction from IG (OPS). He is supported by DIG (OPS-I) and in addition to DIG (OPS-II).

The Establishment branch is functioning under the supervision from IG(Estt.). They are assisted in their work by DIG(Law) and DIG (Rectt).
Finance
The Finance Branch and Pay is managed as a direct supervision of the FA. This Finance Branch is helped by Dy.FA.
Medical
The Medical Branch is functioning under the direction of IG Director (Medical). This is supported with two Dy. Director (Medical).
The Central Reserve Police Force ( CRPF) is India's largest Central Armed Police Force. It is a part of the under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. The primary function of the CRPF lies in supporting the States and Union Territories in their security operations, to preserve law and order, and to defeat insurgency. It was established as the Crown Representative's Police on July 27, 1939. After Indian Independence, it became its own Central Reserve Police Force on the adoption of the CRPF Act on 28 December 1949.
